Following the custom of singing happy birthday to all who have birthday in February, the principal invited all to his office for birthday treats.
The meeting of primary teachers in professional growth was held Thursday. The discussions were led by Mrs. V. A. Arnold and Miss P. A. Johnson. The subjects discussed were of vital interest to all, "The Hard of Hearing Child" and "Getting Along Together". The intermediate teachers met Friday evening and Mrs. B. E. Mayes discussed "Developing Love of Leisure Reading". Much information was gained from the discussion.
In trying to develop more interest in reading, the sixth grade reading class under the supervision of Mrs. H. G. Carter dramatized the King of the Golden River. Leading characters were, Herbert Ervin, James Barbee. Vernon Barnes, Leslie Wilbert. Other participants were Joyce Williams, Willie Kimble, Hosie Isaacs and William Briggs.
