New Fire Engine—A few days since we had the pleasure of viewing a new Engine, invented by Mr. Asahel Hubbard of Windsor—and from what we saw of it, think it to be a very ingenious work—and certainly preferable to any thing of the kind we have seen. It is made chiefly of cast iron, and weighs about 56 lbs. When worked with one man only, will discharge a barrel through the hose in less than 30 seconds. With four men to work it, discharged a barrel and a half in a minute, throwing the water a distance of 120 feet.
