Men ought to be whipped at the cart's tail for being either ignorant or obstinate in public affairs.—Here are a set of loafers glorifying Jackson for being anti-Bank, anti-Paper, anti-Biddle, and all kinds of antis but anti-humbug, when the fact is he has caused no less than 357 new Banks to be chartered, and flooded the country with an additional paper circulation of one hundred and twenty-three and a half millions of dollars, and all without that excellent regulator and balance wheel, a United States Bank. But the greatest piece of imposture and impudence was calling this pretender a democrat.—N. Y. Star.
