The Wilmingtonian, in noticing complaints made in other quarters, in regard to disorganized postal facilities, remarks that Postmaster Swiggett's extensive postal experience and his systematic business methods combine to preclude all such mail derangements as those complained of by our exchanges. The Wilmingtonian is delivered to city subscribers very largely, through the post-office department, and some of our suburban subscribers have nothing but praise for the fidelity with which they are served by the letter carriers, independent of how unpropitious the weather may be. Postmaster Swiggett is sustained in his efforts to advance our postal interest by a corps of valuable assistants, and we but voice the popular feeling when we state that the entire postal service is as complete and as satisfactory as could be asked for. The above, coming from a political opponent, and also an applicant for the postmastership, may be considered deserved praise.
