French Turn Polish Boy Over to Gestapo Agents
VICHY, Sept 7-(UP)-Herschel Grynszpan, the young Polish Jew who assassinated a Nazi diplomat and touched off Germany's unprecedented November, 1938, horror against the Jews, has been delivered into the hands of the Gestapo by the government of Marshal Henri Philippe Petain and Pierre Laval it was learned tonight.
Grynszpan had been held in prison since the day in November, 1938, when he broke into the German embassy in Paris and shot to death Baron Ernest Von Rath, secretary of the embassy.
Grynszpan explained that he shot Von Rath "to avenge my fellow Jewish sufferers from Nazi persecution and oppression."
