Accident. On Tuesday morning last, while the Lighthouse Company at Eureka North, were at work in a deep cut, they observed the bank giving way and all made their escape except Mr. Silas H. Blair, who was buried in a mass of earth and rocks and killed. Mr. Blair lost his life by delaying but a moment to obtain a lantern which they had been using on the previous night. He was found buried under some six feet of earth and rubbish, standing erect, still retaining his grasp of the hoe he was using when the alarm was given. He was but 25 years of age and leaves a wife and child in Niles, Michigan.
