Miss Junkin Will
Go To Formosa

Miss Nettie Junkin will leave either in September or October for the mission field in Formosa where she will do general missionary work in conjunction with the new student center being built in the capital city of Formosa. The exact date of her sailing depends on when her sailing visa is secured.

Her brother, Rev. W. F. Junkin Jr., and family will also sail for the Formosan mission field in September. They have been serving in the Thompson Valley, Cove and Litz Presbyterian Churches.

Miss Nettie Junkin has been on the Tazewell High School faculty for the past several years as teacher of religion. She has served as a missionary to the Orient prior to coming to Tazewell. Her contributions to the school, churches and community life in Tazewell have been manifold and the best wishes of the entire community go with her and with the Rev. and Mrs. Junkin, as they go to the mission field.
