ORIGINAL POEMS BY SIXTH GRADE.
Original poems by Sixth Grade for Book Week, recited to the music of "Bean Porridge":
1. Books for the old,
Books for the young.
Read as you're told
And you'll never go wrong.
2. Books about others,
Books about ourselves
Books about ourselves,
Books about our mothers
On the Book Shop shelves.
3. Some books are red,
Some books are blue,
Many books that I've read
All ring true.
4. Some books are big.
Some books are small
There are many books
On the Book Shop wall.
5. Some books are there,
Some books are here,
Some books are everywhere,
Read, Molly, dear.
6. I like stories,
You like tales,
We can find them at the Book Shop.
All for sale.
