Last Thursday, two penologists from Japan were visitors at this institution and we acknowledge a pleasant call at the Mirror Office. They were, Noriyuki Hanakawa, Executive Official, Attorney General's Office, Deputy Warden Mito Juvenile Prison, Ibaragi Pref.; and Fujitaro Kusunoki, Architect Correction and Rehabilitation Bureau, Office of Attorney General, Tokyo.

These gentlemen are members of a group of five high ranking Japanese penologists who are making an inspection tour of penal institutions in the United States. They are here under the auspices of the Institute of International Education, New York City.

While in the print shop, they were very much interested in all the activities, especially the intertype machines, making copious notes on their observations.
