EXPLOSION OF GAS.
While the workmen on the new addition to the Santa Rosa hospital were engaged yesterday afternoon the scent of leaking gas was discovered and the workmen began testing the pipes to locate the leak. The leak was located sooner than anticipated, however, for a severe explosion suddenly occurred between the ceiling and an upper floor and part of the floor and ceiling were torn away. None of the workmen were injured by the explosion and the damage to the building can easily be repaired.
