Washington, January 3.-Six per cent bonds, $107,405,400; five per cent bonds, $670,834,750; total coin bonds, $1,688,000,150.

Lawful money debt, $14,000,000; matured debt, $22,712,450; legal tenders, $371,896,862; certificates of deposit, $35,175,000; fractional currency $44,147,072; coin certificates, $31,198,300. Total without interest, $482,417,234.

Total debt, $2,207,129,625. Total interest, $38,819,062.

Cash in treasury: Coin, $79,824,448; currency, $11,117,344; special deposits held for redemption, of certificates of deposit, $35,175,000; total in treasury, $125,116,792.

Debt less cash in Treasury, $2,119,852,195.

Decrease of debt during December: $1,915,062; decrease since June 30, 1875, $8,856,531.
