Full Text
We wonder how the new party that Thomason, Wilcox and Sparks of the Herald intend starting, is getting on. Whew, won't the series of reforms that they purpose to inaugurate be prolific of good (?) to our state? For instance, Thomason, the walking encyclopedia of wisdom and political trickery Governor; Grant, the earnest office seeker and pet of T.'s, representative in Congress, and Sparks, superintendent of the penitentiary. They are reformers; they constitute the new party, and they are going to carry the state in the fall. "Can these things be, and overcome us like a summer's dream?"
