THE TOURISTS RETURN.

THEY TELL OF THE PLEASURES OF A TRIP TO ALASKA.

Interesting Incidents of the Voyage -Three Deer Caught Alive-Investing in Alaska Real Estate- Taku Inlet Visited.

The steamer Idaho arrived from Alaska at 10 o'clock last night and as she touched the wharf a number of tourists descended the gang plank to be welcomed by their friends at home. All these travelers said that they never enjoyed themselves more in all their lives than on their trip to Alaska and also that the only way to appreciate it is to experience it under circumstances as pleasant as those attending the last trip of the Idaho. One of the first to be seen among the passengers was ex-Mayor John Leary who said that for the first four days after starting it rained but after that the pleasantest kind of weather prevailed throughout the voyage. He was astonished at the richness of the country visited but said he couldn't say half what he wanted to until he had a little rest. He thereupon handed the reporter a copy of the following resolutions which he said were adopted on July 4th with a hearty good will

RESOLUTIONS OF APPRECIATION.

Whereas, The passengers of the steamship Idaho, on her present voyage to Alaska, which is about to end, being desirous of giving formal but hearty expression of the gratification they all have experienced on this never-to-be-forgotten trip, therefore, resolved, That our most sincere thanks be and are hereby extended to Captain David Wallace, Pilot H. H. Loyd, Purser W. C. Amrs, First Officer William Kidston, Chief Engineer K. A. Turpet, Chief Steward John McKenna and their able corps of assistants, for the uniform kindness and considerate attention, which we have each and all received at their hands. Resolved, That we most heartily recommend to all those contemplating a trip to Alaska, that they do so under the care and courteous attention of Captain Wallace of the steamboat Idaho.
