School Suit Wednesday

Federal Judge John E. Miller, confirmed Friday, that August 15 would be the date for the hearing of the school suit filed against the Little Rock school board by the parents of 33 schoolchildren.

The suit will get underway in Federal Judge Trimble's courtroom at 9:30 Wednesday morning. Judge Trimble disqualified himself from hearing the suit because he has a son who is a member of the law firm serving as defense counsel for the school board, and Judge Miller from Fort Smith was appointed.

The suit on behalf of the children is being argued by National Association for the Advancement of Colored People's lawyers. Immediate integration in the schools of the district is sought in the suit.
