GORDON FOR SAN FRANCISCO

of the Republican National Convention which will open on Monday. Whether the Governor intends to attend the convention which will select the Republicans' nominees for President and Vice President was not disclosed.

It was said that the Governor was making the trip upon the invitation of Governor Knight of California, and that he will also stop off in Washington for conferences with officials of the Department of Interior.

Government Secretary Charles Claunch, who will be Acting Governor during Mr. Gordon's absence, said the Governor should be away at least two weeks.
