Of one hundred and thirty two vessels and cargoes decoyed into seized confiscated and sold in dominions governed by Bonaparte, no less than fifty one belonged to Massachusetts. The Salem Gazette states the loss of that town, in the eight vessels condemned in Italy, 687,000 dollars. Marblehead too has suffered severely from the squeezing of its "good friend."
