To the Editor of the Dispatch:
The beautiful spring time weather of the last few days has made quite a change and rain in abundance has taken its place, a very unpleasant change of course.
Mr. J. B. Plunkett, of North, S. C., has been visiting relatives in and around Baxter for the last few days. We were all very glad to see Mr. Plunkett in our midst and trust he will visit us frequently in the future.
Miss Pansie Dukes, a beautiful and charming Orangeburg belle, has been visiting Miss Bettie Kneece, during the past week.
Mr. W. J. Kibler, of Monetta, S. C., passed through a few days ago on his way to Batesburg, where he will enter the Batesburg Institute.
Dr. E. C. Riggell and wife together with sweet little Louise, visited Mr. T. B. Kibler and family this week.
Mr. G. M. Adams has gone to Lancaster on business.
Mr. Rhett Kibler, of Batesburg, was down last Sunday, the guest of Mr. Landon Kibler.
Some one ask John ——, how he enjoys riding a lady's wheel?
On last Sunday quite a train of buggies were seen going in the direction of Batesburg. Can any one guess what all this means? Why a marriage, of course.
Misses Lillie and Leila Thrallkill, two charming young ladies of the Monetta section, visited this community this week.
