Believes He Sees Dead Wife, Dies Of Heart Attack

GOLDSBORO, N. C. (ANP)—A man who believed that he had seen a vision of his dead wife died last week in a city jail cell.

The dead man is John Edminson, 66, who lived alone in a little house. He had been arrested a week before his death for taking numerous shotgun shots at "faces" he saw staring at him when his wife "returned" to him.

He told police that his wife returned to him from the dead, then went to bed where he was. At this time, he said, he saw a number of faces staring into his room.

Because he could not stop seeing the faces, he said, he began to shoot at them.

His shooting stopped on this magical night several hours after it began when county officials arrested him. At the time of his death arrangements were being made to have him moved to the State hospital for the insane.
