PREPARING FOR YOUR WORK.

Excellency of work depends in some degree on bodily fitness. If you have a headache, caused by indigestion, or are suffering from the weariness due to insufficient sleep, or are weak from lack of nourishing food, or are enfeebled by a failure to get enough fresh air into your lungs, your work is going to suffer.

You should be rested by a good night's sleep, fortified by a good breakfast. To be at your desk a certain number of hours during the day is only a small part of what you owe to your employer. To work hard and conscientiously is not all. Another part of your debt is to be in your place each morning invigorated by scientific and sensible efforts to give your physical nature its due. Until that is your systematic habit, your work will suffer.
