The time is at hand when we need as our law makers, men of ability as well as men who are traveling with the spirit of progress and improvement, that is abroad in the South. Thrift and enterprise is springing up all over the South, onward is the cry and progress and improvement is felt in the very atmosphere and it stands us in hand to put forward men who will labor to the end, in holding out to the world inducements to emigrate to our State, encourage capital to invest with us and carry forward the good work now inaugurated. Let the press of the State keep the "ball rolling" until next August election.—[Barbourville Advertiser.
