Good News for the Democracy. - Cheering news for the Democratic nominees, Douglas and Johnson, reaches us from every quarter. California is sound to the core, and safe for the National Democracy. She will overwhelm and bury in one excremental vault, Black Republicanism and Yancey Secessionism. A reliable gentleman, who has heretofore sustained the Administration, and who has traveled through a considerable portion of the State within the past two weeks, informs us that at least three-fourths of the people are for Douglas and Johnson! and he has taken some pains to acquaint himself of the popular sentiment, by talking with the people in stage coaches, at hotels, on steamboats, and streets, and all condemn the Yancey-secession movement, and the nomination of Breckinridge and Lane, with no other view than that of destroying the National Democratic party. They recognize the Breckinridge nomination as purely sectional, and repudiate it as they do the abolitionism of the North. - Butte Record.
