Water Treaty Problem
Being Pushed.

WASHINGTON, Sept. 26—Vice
President Garner's co-operation will
be sought to expedite negotiations
on Rio Grande irrigation treaty
between the United States and Mexico.

Moe E. W. Kelly, director
of the Texas planning board, chairman of the state board
of water engineers, and E. H.
Robertson, of San Benito, were
in Washington this week.
The three arrived in Washington
from New York
Saturday and where he would
be available for conferences
in the interior department unless the attorney
-general also is invited to
continue negotiations on
the Rio Grande-Mexico
water treaty.

Officials said that unless Mexico agrees to the demands
of the United States, that the water will
be shut off at the dams. There will
be
joint action taken.
