Reimaniak and Mampe started for
the Fort Lee police station. The for-
mer agreed to make good the dam-
ages. McNaught proceeded to Engle-
wood where Washbourne engaged a
taxicab driver to hurry him to the
West Shore terminal in Weehawken.
Later Mr. and Mrs. McNaught re-
turned to Fort Lee and went to the
police station to file complaint. Mrs.
McNaught recognized Reimaniak. He
was taken to the police station, where
McNaught made a charge against him
and accused him of driving while in-
toxicated. This Reimaniak denied.

The Fort Lee police called in Dr.
Crandell who after examining Rei-
maniak said that while it was evi-
dent that he had been drinking he
would not say that he was unfit to
drive a car. This was two hours after
the crash.

The case will come up before Re-
corder Moore in Fort Lee police court
on April 7.
