ANOTHER WIRE.—We are informed by Mr. Livingston, the operator at our local office, that the completion of the northern line of telegraph from Winnemucca has increased the business of the Atlantic and Pacific Company to such an extent as to necessitate an additional wire from Winnemucca to San Francisco, material for which has been laid along the route and which will be put up as soon as the weather in the Sierras will permit. When completed there will be four wires in operation from San Francisco to Reno, three to Winnemucca, and two to Ogden. The northern line has been extended through Oregon to Walla Walla, Washington Territory, and has since its completion done such an extensive business that it was found necessary to employ an extra operator at the repeating office at Winnemucca.
