It was a touching spectacle—that of this royal orphan, whose intelligence, though feeble, evinced already a perception of his loss. Mademoiselle, a little girl about four years old, also recognized the portrait, and glued it to her little lips. The persons present were deeply moved, and tears streamed from every eye!"
