A. LIVINGSTON'S CASE.

RICHMOND, November 12.—This case, with which the public is almost as much satisfied as the court itself, was again taken up in the Circuit Court for this county on the 4th instant: Some difficulty was experienced in obtaining a jury; and it was Wednesday before one was impannelled, and the trial commenced. The indictment, on which he was tried, related to the embezzling of a check of Mr. John Enders of this city. Mr. Robertson, the Attorney General, appeared for the prosecution; and Mr. Gilmer, for the accused The argument closed on Friday at 1 o'clock, when the jury retired. They have not, however, been able to agree in a verdict; and according to the wise old custom, will be kept together, without the least prospect of getting a verdict, till Thursday night, when the court itself is compelled to rise!
