Distressing Suicide.--We learn from the Hagerstown News that Mr. Samuel Welty, a respectable citizen of that vicinity, committed suicide on Tuesday last, by hanging himself. He left his residence shortly after dinner that day, and not returning at night, search was made, and he was found in a woods about half a mile from the house--the vital spark extinct. He had hung himself to a tree with a piece of strong twine, which had severely cut his throat and neck. No cause is assigned for the rash act.
