Excessive Claim.—Whittemore & Lanahan are engaged in opening a claim on one of the large flats on Clear Creek, below Horsetown, that will afford hydraulic diggings for a number of years. The bank is from twelve to fifteen feet in depth, and can be worked to great advantage. The owners intend to drift into the bank during the summer, and will put a hydraulic apparatus to work next winter when water is plentiful.—Claims worked above and below this one have paid very rich, and it is the general opinion that Whittemore & Lanahan have a good thing.
