Full Text

Extract of a letter from Belfast, May 25.

"The La Jeune Marie, --, from Nantes, arrived here the 20th which is the first French vessel here since the Treaty: her cargo being promiscuous; without any regular confinement, was all landed, and put under the King's lock, but sold directly. This vessel, in return, takes over linen manufacture, without a single guinea in specie or any paper passing. If all the vessels of that nation act a similar part in future, this Treaty will be very beneficial to Ireland."
