May 23. Saturday last arrived Capt. Bowne from Providence, by whom we learn that the Havanna Galley, taken by the Privateers, was arrived in Providence. Her Men were set ashore at Cape Antonio. She made no Resistance, 4 or 5 Sail of Privateers being in Sight. We hear farther that a small Privateer belonging to Providence, commanded by John Gardner, with nine Men only, had taken so much small Craft on the Spanish Coasts as to share 1000 Pieces of Eight per Man. On the 4th Instant, in Lat. 26, 30 N. Capt. Bowne parted with Capt. Ingoldsby in the Privateer Brig Dispatch of Rhode-Island, who had a Prize with her, and Capt. Thomas Hammond and Mr. Winslow were all well.
