Man Held On Hit-Run Suspicion Charges

A fatal hit-and-run accident at Five Points Sunday night caused an East Point motorist to be lodged in the city jail on suspicion of manslaughter.

The owner of the vehicle believed to be the one that fatally injured the pedestrian was identified as Leonard Reeves, 28, of 762 South Bayard St.

His automobile was ordered to be impounded by investigating radio patrolmen. The officers indicated that the auto is possibly the one that struck and fatally injured Miss Maydelle Friedman, 42, white and caused serious injury to her companion, Mrs. Idah Barrzelle, 49. Both women were hit as they attempted to cross Marietta St.
