Reclaimed Land at Toledo Along the Maumee River Belongs to Heirs of Original Owners—Riparian Rights.

Toledo, O., Nov. 26.—Maj. Blunt. in charge of this harbor, recently approved plans for the extension of the dock line, on the west side of the Maumee river, from 30 to 165 feet towards the channel. It develops that 90 per cent. of this reclaimed land will belong to the heirs of original owners, who retained riparian rights. The property affects nearly all down-town lakeshippers. A railroad company seeking to lay tracks along this new dock will negotiate with heirs of original owners where right of way is denied by present holders. The reclaimed ground will be worth about $1,500,000.
