HIGHWAY ROBBERY.—The San Francisco Herald of Friday says:
Marco Marino, who claims to be an Austrian, but presumed to be a Greek, was tried before the Court of Sessions of Placer county, on Tuesday, on a charge of highway robbery—stopping the stage near Sarahsville, on the 2d August last, and robbing it of $1443, treasure of Freeman & Co. The jury returned a verdict of guilty, about midnight, and Saturday next was fixed for sentence. One of his comrades in the expedition, Geo. Williams, was convicted some time since, and sent to the State Prison for ten years. Probably Marco may not expect being consigned to that institution for a less term.
