CIRCUIT COURT.—The case against W. C. Barnett for resisting officer resulted in a verdict of a fine of $25. Jas. Banks, colored, for shooting Will King, was also let off with a fine of $50. The grand-jury finally adjourned Friday, after a session of only four days and with but 10 indictments returned. This is the shortest time and the smallest number of indictments in this county in the recollection of the oldest inhabitant and is a pretty fair indication of the law-abiding condition of our people. The indictments are for minor offences, only one being for grand larceny, one for petit larceny, 3 for carrying concealed weapons, 4 for assault and battery and one for keeping disorderly house. Before adjourning the jury handed the following report to his honor, Judge Morrow:

We find that the wall of the Court-House facing on Lancaster street, to be considerably sprung, and in our opinion unsafe, the cornice in bad condition and the plastering in circuit and county court-rooms badly in need of repair. We find the back door to hall of Court-House broken down and lock to county court-room useless. We find the wood work of the jailer's residence in need of paint and sash to windows in bad condition and fencing around said residence out of repair.
