ATES CONFERENCE WILL END MONDAY

This week's conference of branch managers of the Alaska Territorial Employment Service will extend over until Monday evening, it was announced today by A. A. Hedges, ATES Director. Managers of all ATES branch offices, in addition to other interested Federal and Territorial officials have been conferring in the Territorial Senate Chambers here since Monday on Alaska's employment problems.

Study of new U. S. Department of Labor aptitude tests was concluded today. Instructions for the tests were given by Charles Meigh, Labor Department technician from Washington, D. C. The group will be in session all day tomorrow with both the morning and afternoon sessions devoted to the filing of claims for Unemployment Compensation. Monday's session will be devoted to ATES problems. The officials will return to their homes on Tuesday.
