Senator Estes Kefauver, of Tennessee, chairman of the Senate Constitutional Amendment subcommittee, Wednesday announced that hearings would begin May 12 on the so-called Talmadge amendment on school administration.
The proposed amendment would nullify the Supreme Court decision against segregated public schools.
