Loan Exhibition of Religious Art.
New York, March 25.-Beginning today and lasting through to April 6 a loan exhibition of religious art, which promises to be of great historic interest, will be held here. The proceeds will be devoted to finishing the chapel of the school of St. Gabriel's at Peeksill, which is under the charge of the Rev. C. I. Houghton, of the Little church Around the Corner. The well-known Tiffany Chapel will be included in the exhibition, which will take place in several rooms adjoining the chapel, at 333 Fourth avenue. The articles exhibited will not be confined to the Episcopal church, but will be drawn from all kinds of Protestant churches. The Greek and Roman Catholic churches previous to the Reformation will also be represented. Among the objects which it is proposed to exhibit are religious paintings, Episcopal staffs, ecclesiastical embroideries, etc.
