The Detroit Public Library has just received one of its most outstanding gifts in many years.

It is a collection of more than 60,000 items, weighing 11½ tons, on the early history of the automobile.

This is the second large collection of automobile material given to the Detroit Public Library in the past year.

About six months ago, the Charles Brady King Collection, assembled over a period of fifty years, was turned over to the Library by Mr. King, who designed, built, and drove the first automobile on the streets of Detroit.
