Full Text

Hilario Romero and posse returned yesterday afternoon from Chaperito, bringing with him the good tidings that Nicolas Aragon, the outlaw, had surrendered and will be brought to this city some time today. As soon as Aragon saw Romero on the field he willingly surrendered, with the understanding that our sheriff was to protect him from mob law, which was agreed to. Aragon says he never would have surrendered to an American officer, but it always has been a noticeable fact that when Sheriff Romero went after a man he generally came.
