It is with Pleasure that we publish the following Extract, as it exhibits an Instance of public Spirit, that reflects Honour on our Country, and will, it is hoped, have no small Influence in animating Numbers on our Frontiers to imitate so laudable an Example.

Extract of another Letter from Carlisle, Oct. 6.

"I greatly fear the Communication between Fort Pitt and Ligonier is cut off again, as the Indians have been seen about Ligonier, and have killed one Man, and done some other Damage.--It is now upwards of five Weeks since any Accounts from thence."
