A Big Federation.

Fifteen car loads of engineers, firemen, brakemen and trainmen from the Pennsylvania, Lehigh Valley, Lackawanna and Western Railroads will leave Jersey City this morning to attend a union meeting of the Engineer, Firemen, Brakemen and Trainmen Brotherhoods of the Eastern railroads at Lehighton, Pa. The object of the meeting is to form a federation of the four brotherhoods. Such a federation has been suggested for some time; but not until within the past month has it been strenuously advocated. The local members of the various brotherhoods say the object is merely to strengthen their organizations.
