At a Place call'd Bull-Hook in Tingwick-Field, in the County of Oxford, a large Tract of Earth, computed at least to be about 6000 Loado, with a Hedge; and several large Trees thereon (which are still standing,) was carried, by the Violence of the late Floods, into the Middle of the River there, by which Means the Current of the said River is entirely stopp'd, and all the Water of the River is continually floating the Meadows and Fields for many Miles thereabouts; and the Damage done thereby to the Corn, as well as Grass and Hay, will amount to several Thousand Pounds.
