Paul J. Muha, principal of Northern High school, whose resignation was announced some time ago effective at the end of the school term, will accept a position in a related educational field.
Mr. Muha has secured a supervisory position with Field Enterprise corporation, encyclopedia publishers.
He plans to return to his native county of Monongalia in West Virginia in charge of that section for the publishing firm.
A graduate of Morgantown High school and West Virginia university, where he received his bachelor of arts and master of arts degrees, he began teaching at Friendsville High school in 1950.
In 1952 he was appointed vice-principal at Friendsville and two years later was named principal of Oakland Elementary school.
Since 1956, he has been principal at Northern.
It was previously announced that Mr. Muha had resigned his present position to accept a similar appointment in Okinawa in the Pacific.
Several weeks ago, the Board of Education named Lewis Walker, of Bel Air, as principal at Northern effective with the start of school this coming fall.
