Bean Settlement News.
Feb 12—We are still having plenty of
old time winter and we don't expect to
see much better weather this month.
Chas Combs has hired Walter Dean to
drive his team for some time.
Mr and Mrs T W Brann have been making
their home with J C Orndorff for
some time.
W v Brown was a business caller in
your town one day last week.
Wallingtion Tusing was a guest at W
W Ruckmans last Saturday and Sunday.
Dick Brill and Mrs Seymour
Ruckman, of your town, spent the last
few days in this section visiting friends
and relatives.
Undertaker Burch was called to McCauley
last Saturday to bury Mrs B B
Baughman.
Harvey Parker, of Needmore, was a
business caller in this section today.
Dr Gochepour was called one day last
week to see Mrs I W Snyder.
B C Marshall and H L Parks were
business callers at Needmore Saturday.
Wm J Bean mashed his foot badly
last Saturday.
C L Burch, wife and little daughter
Esther were guests of H L Parks and
family a part of last week.
R D Marshall took a fine load of produce
to market last Saturday.
C L Burch filled his ice house last
week.
R C Hott who has been visiting relatives
and friends near Keyser, has returned
home again.
The surprise party at Mr Hotts one
night last week was well attended and a
good time is reported.
E S Brown expects to butcher a fine
beef soon.
Roy Elosser took a fine load of grain
to Edwards Evans mill last week.
Walter Burch expects to move to Keyser
in the near future.
Alice Desse Burch expects to start for
Short Mountain soon, where she will
make her home with Mrs A E Tucker.
Noah Orndorff is kept quite busy hauling
produce to market.
Mrs Lot Evans has been visiting her
son, Mrs L Burch for some time.
Marshall Burch and sister Miss S Mildred
spent a part of last week visiting at
Wm Combs.
Mr and Mrs J T Wolf, who have been
visiting in Parkersburg for some time
are visiting home folks at this time.
W C and H W Burch expect to open
a blacksmith shop soon.
