We clip the following from the Troy Budget:
The effect of Mr. Wright's course will be to strengthen the democratic ticket and increase our majority in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and other States. With the ticket as first presented, the Empire State would have given 30,000 majority and the Key Stone State 25,000, whilst with Dallas on the ticket Pennsylvania will roll up the thirty thousand and leave the twenty-five thousand majority in New York.
Such is the Budget's opinion, and it may be right. This is our opinion, and we may be wrong: We are convinced that Polk will lose New York by 10,000, and Pennsylvania by 5,000. We believe he will not get Tennessee, nor any State in the Union, unless it be, perhaps, New Hampshire.
