A Letter from Albany, dated the 17th June, says,
"Sir William Johnson has Orders to take the Field immediately with all the Indians he can muster, which will be between 500 and 600. Notwithstanding the various Reports you have of our Indian Affairs, I can safely say, we never had a better Prospect of them."
And a Letter from Sir William himself, of a later Date, informs that he was moving towards the grand Army with his Indians, and expected to be in the Enemy's Country at the latter End of the last, or the Beginning of the present Week.
