Full Text

From the Missouri Republican.

We neglected to notice in our last, the final discontinuance of the only remaining Jackson print in St. Louis. The "St. Louis Enquirer" is now no more. After the recent change in its administration, it labored for two whole weeks under the fostering care of the new editor, but at the end thereof, for lack of aliment it was compelled to give up the ghost. Its physicians are of opinion, that had a sufficient supply of "Eaton's Infallible Elixir" been administered in due time, its life might have been prolonged "another day"—but, alas, the "Grand Restorative" allotted for this state, was all required elsewhere, and to this consequence may be attributed its untimely end.
