Camp Legion Boy to be Reunited With Mother
Separated from his mother at different times since he was 18 months old, Robert Anders, 19, residing at Willow Run Camp Legion, was informed today that Camp authorities had located his mother, Mrs. Anna Duffett, living less than 10 miles from his present home.
Robert expects to visit his mother at 2560 Telegraph Rd., Flat Rock, tonight where she lives with her husband and two children. Camp authorities said the mother was as anxious to see her son as Robert was to see her. He has been trying to locate her the past four years.
The Anders family became estranged when Robert was 18 months old. The boy accompanied his father on trips throughout the states and it wasn't until Robert was five years old that he saw his mother for the first time so that he could remember her. After a brief visit he returned to his father and four years ago while operating a roadside stand at Inkster his mother visited him regularly. She came to see him. Later the two became separated and not until today were they reunited again.
Robert's mother is of German descent and was married to his American father during the World War years. After the separation of the family in the United States the boy lived with his father until the latter's death two years ago.
