King Hiram Grand Lodge Of Masons Opens Annual Session At Hattiesburg

HATTIESBURG, Miss.—The King Hiram Grand Lodge, Scottish Rite, A. F. and A. M., Colored Masons, of the State of Mississippi opened their Annual Session here Sunday, December 9, and is scheduled to last through Saturday, December 12. The session is under the general direction of the State Grand Master, Jessie McClendon, and the Grand-Secretary, Clarence Winters.

The State Headquarters of the lodge is at 119 1/2 North Farish St., in Jackson.

The session opened here Sunday with a mile long street parade, one of the most colorful of its kind ever held here and was witnessed by a record crowd composed of members of both races which filled the sidewalks along the whole line of march.

Rev. H. H. Hume, president of the State Baptist Association and Editor of the Greenville Leader was slated to preach the Annual Sermon Monday night.
