BALTIMORE, October 7. 6 P. M.
MARYLAND—ALL RIGHT!!!
At length we have definite returns from all the counties in the State and they show that the Whig cause has succeeded triumphantly.
The result is, that the Whigs have elected 47 Delegates out of the 82, of which the lower House consists, and have consequently A MAJORITY OF TWELVE in that branch of the Legislature. In the Senate the Whig majority is five. The Legislature being Whig in both branches, the important objects are secured of the election of an U. S. Senator for six years, and an equitable division of the State into Congressional Districts. Last year the Locofoco majority in the House was twelve.
